JULY TOURNAMENT COOSA RIVER July in Alabama means it's gonna be HOT, but it wasn't to bad until the last 2 hours of the tournament this Saturday. The temperature was in the upper 80's during the tournament with a slight breeze blowing. The club wieghed in 29 bass totaling 37 lbs. and 15 ozs. for an average of 1 lbs. 5 ozs. per bass. Our FIRST PLACE for July was Mr. BILL HOPSON weighing in his limit (5) of bass at 8 lbs. 4 ozs. Bill also had the BIG BASS of the tournament, a nice spotted bass weighing in at 3 lbs. 11 ozs. WAY TO GO BILL!!!! SECOND PLACE goes to Mr. STEVE HARRIS who also had his limit that weighed 7 lbs. 3 ozs., Steve had a very nice 3 lbs. 9 ozs. spotted bass to anchor his catch. GREAT JOB STEVE ! ! ! ! ! We were blessed to have 2 guest fish with us this month, Mr. LARRY LIVEOAK and Mr. GRIFFIN WEED (Larry Stowe's grandson). LARRY took home this month's GUEST AWARD with his catch of 2 bass weighing 1 lbs. 11 ozs. Congratulations Larry!!!! Thanks to both of you for fishing with us and we hope you'll come back soon. Out August Tournament will be on the Alabama River from Swift Creek Park on August 9th. Hope everyone can join us at the meeting on August 7th and get in the draw.
